A Breath of Life: Whisp's Arrival
Summary: More or less the arrival of one of our more interesting characters, Whisp. Jader and Augustus made way to a tavern somewhere and, in the midst of chumming it up with the locals, Augustus bumped into a rather strange, pale gal with whom he spoke for quite awhile. Turned out, she was dead and no one else in the tavern could see her other than the saints. Augustus proceeds to give her half his lifeforce to bring her back to life and then the two remain inextricably linked henceforth, sharing thoughts, feelings, pains and pleasures with one another. Added a really nice plot twist.
Augustus sauntered towards the monastery ingress as the pulsations of his heart began to calm. He would press a single palm upright against its center as a sigh escaped between his lips. He felt the sensations of unknown life forces within his humble monastery, and they rendered an uncomfortable chill along his frame. His head tossed back nonchalantly as the ivory hood descended from atop his crown, flaxen locks once more spilling about immaculate complexion, his visage exuding the warmth of a singular entity bearing the name which would forever be emblazoned upon his soul. "Con Amore." With love, they said. With such affection would his countenance be met with a rush of an unusual gale as he stepped within the sanctuary's extensive corridor, marveling at the polished marble for a brief moment as the alabaster robe began trailing along it. His pace was mellow and his thoughts calmed as his affinities began taking form and rendering existence aside him. Whisp. Within this realm, he felt himself at ease, but also circumspect in his every footfall. He would make futile attempts at completely pacifying his worries, lashes descending closed as he would smile and cup his hand to his lips, calling out along the corridor, his words forcing echoing reverberations that he hoped would reach the senses of another of his comrades. "My family! I have returned!"
Serendipity: With fire...such a funny title, as hers had been ‘wings of fire’ or ‘sunset wings’ or some such in her own tongue. She’d have laughed if she’d have known. His concern touched her and as the meat was taken with one hand, she’d hold out her other to catch his arm, using it as balance to sit back on the edge of the bed. Hesitant voice pulled from her slender throat, as golden as her hair and as soft as a caress. “I....should not stand I do not think. I’m...cold?” Such confusion in her voice. Puzzlement. It was all.... “So...different.” She all but whispered to herself, eyes leaving his face for the moment. She was far too calm. It wasnt right for her to be, and she knew it. It was her first clue that she was hurt and far more than she’d thought. It was as if her soul was numb. Soft frown fell upon light pink lips, teeth worrying the low. It was her first clue that she was hurt and far more than she’d thought. It was as if her soul was numb. Soft frown fell upon light pink lips, teeth worrying the lower. The food was then remembered, bit into tenatively, then with more passion. Ah, it was wonderful!
Whisp: And with Augustus, the chilling whisp of air moved with him, hovering beside him, nearly clinging closely to him, the feel of those delicate fingers still on his forearm. Whisp quite obviously had made the transition to where they currently were. Quiet she would remain, not even a ghostly outline to mark she was there, nothing but the soft chill of her presence.
Jader's being seemed to withhold the very essence of flames, that warming curvature of his soft lips playing along his expression, visage a perfect painting as he walked over to the bed across from them. "Cold eh? I think I can help you with that," He said, drawing a thick blanket from the surface of the bed, and he calmly ambled back to her shivering countenance. A drape of the warm blanket, his very touch sending comfortable heat into its cottony fabrics, across her slender form would grace the soft milky surface of her skin. His very aura couldn't be seen, but its presence was definately felt by Serendipity. He was like a walking furnace, body constantly giving off a secure and welcoming warmth to all around him. Jader's very kind hearted nature could pacify the darkest of shadows around him as he sat next to her on the bed, eyes searching her portrait for other signs of discomfort. Her voice was like the chiming of church bells to his ears, their melody playing many varieties of sensations into his being. "You seem to enjoy the meat. I'm glad," He stated, also relieved that he had not overcooked or undercooked the piece of deer he had hunted the previous day. He remembered the challenge the mighty buck had given him, horns attempting to drive into his abdomen as he killed the beast with his bare hands. Jader sat there for an hour skinning the animal, reciting prayer after prayer for the creature's soul and begged for its forgiveness. He smiled a bit at the memory, but then turned his attention back to the here and now, hues gracing her face one more, hoping she would grace his ears with that sweet voice of hers once more.
Lantis: The melancholy surrounding the pair seemed to choke even the ethereal serenity of the sakura barrow, overwhelm it with the sense of forboding that emitted. "You worry." A chilled digit graced the bunched sinew of his jaw, sliding along it as his head canted to mutely accept. Who was he to deny? Innerwardly he cringed, such a heavy burden, this man all that was celestial and holy and yet he, a creature of pure malevolance and debauchery was to take comfort from the man he had shackled and would present to another darksome master. He knew of those, the ire dancing within sapphire optics, though replaced by guilty need, digits clutching at mannacled wrist, holding it gently. "It is my fate M'lord, pity it not." Flesh was clasped, not to prevent escape for the man had reluctantly capitulated once he had been discovered, but more to steady him for his spirit quaked, the fluttering of the heart in his chest informing Lantis of this.
Serendipity: The food was consumed daintily, but quite quickly at the same time, her hair tucked behind her ears almost self consciously. Lips curled softly into a light smile at the sudden warmth, her head canting gently to the side. “You...remind me of someone.” Several someones actually. In fact there were quite a few archangels with the charge of fire. The aura he presented made her feel...at home. At that thought the smile dimmed, the deer meat forgotten. A hand rose to her forhead, her eyes closing. “This is...so confusing.” She whispered, looking up at the man after a moment. “I...before...I felt pain, but I was not in pain. I felt anger but I was not angry. If He was sad, I cried. But...this is not the same. I hurt. I am sad. I am angry. It’s....it isnt the same.” Utterly lost, that look said, her voice cried. Her wings trembled a moment under the blanket, a few crystaline tears falling from her eyes, down her cheeks. “I...thank you. I already owe you a great debt for this help.” And she’d spoken out of necessity far more in these few minutes than she had in her entire existence.
Augustus felt an unusual comfort in the fragile chill which descended upon his arm. Knowing that another truly good soul entered their house of salvation warmed his heart and body to the physical chill that her touch bore. He continued pacing along, repeating the same call of before towards the heavens, carrying along what seemed a cheerful tone to it. That melodic tenor just could not be broken at this juncture, taking a certain degree of joy in again rendering the call. He was far too enamored for such trifles as nonresponse. Continuing along the corridor, he would, between his shouts, lower his tone to a whisper and speak to his side, the fragile presence of his companion lingering upon the stratum, as he felt himself speaking to actual existence. "And don't you worry. We can do many great things here, and the restoration of one's existence is well within our realm. I first, however, need to rediscover my comrades."
Jader watched the many emotions flood through the very confused angel, a knowing smile crossing his features as he raised a sturdy yet gentle appendage, wrapping it gently around her. "Do not give it much thought, just focus on getting better, and then deal with it all one step at a time," He stated calmly, annoyed eardrums being compounded by Con Amore's repeated calls. The guy was always happy, God in Heaven give him strep throat or something! Jader quickly retreated from the bed, upper body leaning out of the doorway into the long winding hall as he bellowed loudly, "WHADYA WANT, PRETTY BOY?! I'M BUSY!" The monastery was unusually quiet tonight, many of their comrades off purging other lands of evil and slaying demons that had so willingly wandered into their clutches. He turned his body back to smile at Serendipity, "Sorry..that's Augustus, one of my friends," He explained, walking back over and sitting next to her, offering his warmth once more.
Serendipity: The warmth was gratefully accepted, her hair shaken back from her face as she leaned into the powerful man’s body. Slight wince was given. “You’re...right. I should just....forget it for now. I cannot find the answers I seek if I am not well.” A small smile was given to him, though her eyes widened as he stood, yelled out the door. Big man, big voice. She even winced lightly as his voice reverberated off the walls, striking her ears and making them ring. As he settled back against her, and spoke of someone else, she could not help but become somewhat nervous. Another person. Was she up to meeting another? Well she had no choice really...instinctively she moved the blanket a bit, making sure her wings were well hidden, before her upright body relaxed enough to softly thwap against the warm side of the huge man next to her. In truth he dwarfed her. She only stood five foot six at the most, and her body was lean, well muscled, but certainly far smaller than him. Right now that served a wonderful purpose, his size. There was no female alive that wouldn’t feel quite a bit safer in her present situation than by being around a huge man who smelt and felt like living fire.
Whisp: Even as she floated along side him, slowly an outline came into existance, then gradually became more solid. The feel of her hand against his forearm turned into the gentle weight of her fingers resting there. Raven curls pinned atop her head by small pins, the soft rustle of the grey velvet gown she wore seemingly heard with each step she took to keep pace with him. Ashen blue eyes taking in the sights they saw, and pale lips part in wonderment. "..Ah worry nae at all, Mi'Lord Yves.." A soft cant of her head to the side as she chanced a glance up to him. Once more her tones were soft, filled with a near unbearable longing for what he seemed so certain they could accomplish.
Jader would slowly stand, his gentle hands leading her to the never ending comforts of the bed she sat her form upon. "You need sleep, my dear, and I must conference with Augustus about some things," He stated calmly, his warm aura enticing her to fall into the soft embraces of sleep. "Perhaps you'll find a new home, maybe your falling here was really a grace of God," Jader added, pulling the covers back then over her slender form, tucking the blanket about her to ensure her warmth as he placed a gentle palm upon her forehead to make sure she wasn't running a fever from her injuries, and at the subtle contact of skin she felt the very essence of his flames pass through her body, the feeling of a warm bath passing over her being as he smild, "Sleep..." Soft voice continuing to entice her.
Serendipity: It wasn't a moment after he'd lain her down that his voice lulled her into a deeper sleep than s he'd ever experianced. her body needed healing, and her mind as well needed to shut down. Tired woman, her wings wrapped 'round herself, before she went limp, curled on her side under the blanket, the touch of his flame kissed hand leaving a gentle smile on her face.
Augustus casted his gaze down towards Whisp as the lithe form began to materliaze before his sight. A warm smile graced his countenance as he was graced with the physical reality of her existence once more. He made check to amble along carefully with her, unaware of the stability of her ethereal status. They walked along at a tranquil pace before being met with the bellowing boom of Jader's voice, cutting through the corridor to invade their senses. The response was lively, just as Augustus had preferred. His voice would ring out once more in tones bearing that familiar musicality, answering Jader's call. "My dear, Con Fuoco, would you mind coming here a moment? We need to speak." He continued walking his companion along the lengthy corridor, the classical design rendering a grandiose visual to all those who would venture sight upon it. Priceless works of years of undaunted labor lined the walls, giving it somewhat of an aristocratic feel. A simple sophistication. ...
Jader materialized in a burst of flames a distance away from Augustus and Whisp, the flames licking at his being before passing back into his body. "You rang, pretty boy?" Jader grinned, walking over, easily towering the two with his height and muscular mass. He was like a mighty flame that could never be put out, his hazel orbs looking from Con Amore to the small woman clinging to his forearm as if he were the only thing keeping her alive. His obversation hit home without his knowledge, muscular appendages snaking their way across his chizzled pectorals, folding comfortably as he quirked a slender dark brown eyebrow.
Lantis: If vision could behold the soul he was sure it would be quivering by now, shaking with fear - yet he remained composed, his figure not allowing so much as an errant twice. Weakness of any kind was not advised when it could be otherwise exploited. Slowly he stood, palpitations shifting, time wheeling onto a different axis, announcing the arrival of the man. Almost desperately the wrist was clutched, lofted to his countenance to give comfort to the angel. ~You don't have to go..~ A wan smile was expressed, tracing the beautiful features of the younger kindred, as if he could guess what was on his mind. "The inevitable would come M'lord." Along with death, smiling maliciously. Speaking of which his presence swept across them, a frigid, grasping presence willingn their very souls to freeze. Perhaps it was the thoughts of his own sire that spurred him on, unconsciously stepping before the fragile angel to sheild him with his own body. "I see.." Baritone purred, twining into senses, intoxicating really as the lord of Valsedor gazed up at the two raven haired creatures, only one really holding much interest to him. That he had come at all, snapped the restraints of his self imposed solitude was threatening enough without his prowess curling about them. Mutely Lantis sunk to his knees as if struck down by some unseen force, trembling slightly as delicate digits adamently retained their hold of the man's wrist. Sofiel on the other hand observed his master, only sorrow within the visable ashen orb. "We're leaving." That settled it, a faint touch releasing his wrist as he gently drifted his hand along the crouched man's flank, walking towards him.
Whisp: At times she did indeed shimmer fading somewhat, but t'was through sheer will and wanting to be, that at present allowed her to keep her physical form and walk with Augustus. Ashen blue hues shifting from each single work of art that lined the walls. Each one drawing forth, softened murmurs of appreciation from between her lips. At the appearance of Jader, there was a wild flicker of Whisp's form, the girl actually fading completely out. Merely just the chill remaining, and the feel of her fingers against Augustus's arm.
Augustus grinned as his head canted towards the impressive frame of his divine brother, Con Fuoco. He felt delicate fadings of Whisp aside him, but was given short time to pay them heed as her form seemed to dissipate quickly. He glanced towards Jader as his visage adorned a mask of seriousness for a brief moment, a nonverbal utterance that there would be things to talk about, and much time necessary for them to be spoken of. But it would remain only so long, as he again assumed his lighthearted grin and lowered his head down towards where Whisp previously stood, lips separating to breathe short whispers of reassurance, hoping to again be graced by the presence of her frame in magnificent solidity by his side. ...
Jader received this silent utterance of Augustus' mute vocal chords very clearly, nodding a bit as his own mask was adorned for a split second before he also took note that the young woman that had once graced the side of his brother had vanished, the slight quirk of his eyebrow twitching a bit with silent thought. What the hell had Con Amore brought to their lovely home? A ghost seeking redemption through God, perhaps? Con Fuoco didn't give it much thought as he uttered one question to Augustus that he would clearly interpret and understand: "When?" ...
Lantis: Calloused digits explored metallic shackles, a look of amusement tainting darksome features, whether feined or not completely beyond comprehension. 15"I like it when you return to me in this manner." Subserviantly the head bowed, the swath of hair masking his expression, schooled to perect ettiquette by his master's hand. Slowly he knelt before him, submitting to his dominion -- oh how he'd run until lungs would burst and yet still he was here, tied together with this man by some inane string of fate. A warm hand took purchase of that chilled countenance, drained of life, holding it delicately within his grasp, tipping his gaze up to him, a digit pushing the swathe of hair aside to observe both dark spheres. "We're going home." The meek angel merely accepted such a command, rising then before his master, a swirl of ebony feathers rending their existance no more. And then he was alone, so very, very alone, hollow even. His head rose, sapphire gaze fixing where both men had been only seconds ago, digits grasping at thin air as if he could bring the angel back, instead curling about a warm ebony feather. He'd gone. They'd all gone. Within his abdomen a gnawing emptiness returned, replaced only by flushes of lust, the need for vitae and the need for those brief moments when sire and chylde would move together dancing as though on the black widow's web as they fumbled towards ecstacy. Guilty at such a thought he curled into himself, trying to banish such sinful notions from his skull. He was an object, a thing, a pretty doll for his sire who indescriminately used him against his will and had snatched what little pleasure he belately took when he had slaughtered his chylde.
Whisp: Whispering tones greeted Augustus's ears even as he lent down to where her chilling presence hovered beside him still. "..Ah am here Mi'Lord Yves..." Augustus's name holding a quaver of emotion as she spoke it. "..T'will just take a little.. time.." Whisp had uttered to him it was taxing for her to take form. Was just as Jader spoke, that the faintest of outlines came into existance. Filling out within a long breath to be solid once again. A trembling ghost of a smile settling over Whisp's pale lips, as a hand came up shakingly to twist about a raven curl. Fingers that still touched his forearm, pressed a little more firmly against it.
Augustus returned his gaze upon Jader, his words completely understood, as he nodded in recognition, his visage again quickly assuming that seriousness about his features as he spoke in lowered, serious tones in response. "Earlier tonight. At the Dagger." The succeeding words would be rendered upon his senses with a bit more gentle sweetness, soothing, as he again was made aware of the wear that solidity took upon her existence and considered it for the better for her form to take shape of her own will. But the pressure of those guiding fingers against his forearm offered him all the communication that was needed. Gentle whispers lingered about between supple lips once more as a singular phrase was uttered. "I understand." His gaze returned to Jader as he nodded towards a nearby chamber in which they could find themselves repose and candidly speak.
Jader eyed Whisp with utmost curiousity, wondering how a spirit faded in and out of reality. Augustus obviously had something to do with it, but he would leave these unimportant questions for a more casual meeting as he nodded towards the chamber, appendages unfolding. His form ambled over to the doorway and he pushed open the sturdy doors, leaving them open for Con Amore. He walked over to a burning fireplace, arms folding across his chest once more as his burning eyes stared into the welcoming flames, the flames seeming to grow in intensity as he neared their being. ...
Augustus sauntered into the chamber, guiding Whisp along by his side, attempting to match her delicate footfalls which could fade in and out of existence. He spotted against the wall a place upon which they could attain some matter of tranquility and seat themselves, prepared to discuss a myriad of issues, different thoughts caressing each individual consciousness, but all converging to a singular point which had clearly led them, and their corresponding companions and newly found acquaintances, to this monastery.
Jader would incline his head a bit to look at Augustus, his expression quite professional as he turned on his heel to face him, arms continuing to nestle into his powerful infrastructure. "What do you wish to discuss?" Jader asked, wasting no time in formalities as he observed Augustus' gentle demeanor towards the strange little girl. When did he meet here, and why was she here now? He yet again pressed these matters into the back of his mind for another time, hazel optics eyeing Augustus to await his answer.
Whisp: Let herself be guided along by Augustus, in seeing that he meant for her to seat herself. A delicate lowering of her frame into the chair behind her, fingers only now lifting off Augustus's forearm, and coming to rest again in her lap. A calm glance between the two men, lips twitching a little, almost a tremble infact. As she would wait for the conversation to contine.
Augustus turned his gaze upon Whisp for a single moment, casting those cobalt optics upon her with a reassuring warmth, as if to state that any and all problems were about to be figured out. Those eyes hung there with an odd air to their features, seeming to defy their basic concepts and stretch a single epoch into an everlasting eternity. He finally shifted his glance back towards Jader and grinned before speaking, first cutting to business and delving into matters which had initially brought him back to the monastery in such a hastened, rushing state. "Well, first we're going to discuss that presence here that you've been so rudely neglecting to mention, my dear Con Fuoco." His smile beamed towards his comrade, eager to hear the details of that odd rendezvous, and even more eager to delve into the specifics of his own.
Jader shrugged a bit idly, smirking a bit, "She just..dropped in for a visit," His own inside joke playing along those lips as his arms unfolded and now hung loosely at his side."She was quite injured, a fallen angel, and I tended to her wounds. She is sound asleep now," He finally explained in earnest, slender eyebrow quirking towards his companion, a habit of his when he was suspicious or silently questioning someone, but the silence would be broken by his own accusations, "You made this little meeting in here seem so important, my dear brother. I was hoping there would be a mission to a distant land for me to purge. You disappoint, not like you at all," He smiled warmly, an idle joke towards his comrade, Con Amore.
Whisp: The mannerisms of both were watched by Whisp. The spirit remaining silent as they conversed between themselves. Ashen blue eyes drifting to stare down at her folded hands. Dimly she was aware that thus far was the longest time she'd sort to keep a physical form. Inwardly she felt the tug deep within of innate energy waning slowly. A subtle flicker here and then there came to be. Yet, for the moment, she remained solid, sitting there.
Augustus again returned grins in kind with Con Fuoco's words, anxious to go into the matter of the entity which sat beside him, but not before verbally jabbing once more with his friend. "Well, as one of such brilliance as yourself should know, Jader. There are more things in this world to love than just the battlefield." His features suddenly seemed to become charming, that allure which was lost within the tavern earlier returning fully to his complexion as he brightened up, the very locks which hung about his face seeming to return to a generous shimmer. He commenced with the condensed version of his own shortened tale from earlier that evening, leaning back some in repose as his gaze would furtively shift towards the true existence of Whisp as he began speaking, melodies teasing about the air with a refined diction, "Well, Con Fuoco. Where to begin, where to begin. This lovely lass you see, or well, may or may not see, sitting aside me is quite an enigma." He leaned forwards as a single brow arched, a sign that his friend was about to become intrigued. "For you see, she has found herself unable to remain within a solid state of existence. And of her past and how she got this way, naught can be remembered. But upon my prying graces did she impart some degree of knowledge as to the situation." He leaned even closer towards his comrade now, his words spoken in lowered, yet excited terms that seemed to tease at Jader's perception of reality and what comprised it. "For you see, my friend, her existence can be made firm with one thing. Desire."
Leif would seemingly materialize behind the other vampire; as if his entire form consisted of shadows and stealth. His form would be standing behind Lantis with a possessive and, if one were so able, relieved look; for but a moment. Soon then his figure was upon him, shrouding his figure with his own, entire front side of his body pressing against the curve of his back. Lips hovered near his chylde's right ear, heated breath cascading over his ear and neck, with a seemingly constricting feel. "My, mon chere.. How you've been such a naughty one recently.. So many things that have made me so.. " he let his words trail for a moment as he gave his emerald optics time to devour his form, "..hot with anger.. How dare you?" He didn't raise his voice, however, his right hand snapping to clasp about his chylde's throat; tightly yet g
Lantis: Startled sapphire would shift, trying to catch sight of the one who assaulted him, his entire figure eclipsed and belatedly he realised trapped under the man's weight. An unsteady exhalation bypassed his lips as his throat was grasped, not throattled yet but enough to discomfort him. His abdomen tightened as soon as that voice swept over him, the undeniable knowledge that his sire had both found and caught him sinking in somewhat slowly to his jumbled psyche. He remained silent, not answering for he could not, those frigid digits about his throat resting upon the ugly crimson welt that scarred him still, where his sire had taken him. Desperately he flipped onto his back, trying to submit below the man as a wolf would below its alpha, exposing his most unprotected areas in hopes to quell his ire. Sapphire found emerald, his gaze icy it seemed until on closer inspection need daunted his expression, some deep seated desire that he would not express and detested the existance of. Lips parted, tepid breath washing his countenance, seeming to seek forgiveness for his misdemeanours. ~Touch me.~ His whole body seemed to whisper, quivering submissively below the man, seeking to escape a more violent fate. ~Don't come near.~ That was his distain for what he was made to do, muscles locking along his chisseled jaw, seeming totally at odds with the rest of his body.
Jader leaned closer to Augustus, clearly misunderstanding the term "desire", "What..you mean like..." He glanced at Whisp and leaned in closer, "Sexual desire?" He grinned, eyes flickering at Con Amore.
Leif moved his left hand slowly down the man's chest, fingertips grazing over the clothing before quickly diverting its present course to flow along the sinews of his figure through his clothing until they reached his right wrist, fingers clasping around the area and pinning it above his head. His right hand, following the same course, except upon his chylde's left wrist, would quickly follow suite. Left fingers, clasping about both, took over for his right hand. His right hand, now free, moved down, fingertips brushing idly over the back of his neck as they, with tantilizing slowness, moved down his chest until they reached the expanse of his abdomen, fingers splaying out to caress the flesh possessively through his clothing. His hips ushered forth, pelvises kissing deeply as emerald optics delved into sapphire optics.
Augustus shook his head calmly, warding off any impure thoughts that might already be flowing through Jader's thoughts. He opted instead to clarify with another lowered whisper that drifted along towards his comrade's senses. "What I mean is that, her existence..it's forged by another's desire for her to exist." He leaned back somewhat, again into his seat as those azure optics flicked about, graciously shifting themselves absent-mindedly for a brief moment while he pondered where to continue with his speech. "But you see, her existence in this state...it's taxing on the very energy of her life itself."
Whisp: At that whisper, one brow lofts slowly, a near laugh uttered as she promptly faded out of veiw, with a near sorrow filled sound of longing, desire, dreams and utter pure frustration. The air where she was becoming iceily cold, bitterly chilling. One could almost feel the sense of loss she felt eminating from where she had been. The sound slowly dying off, as soft near child-like sobs began, instead of growing louder as one who's crying sometimes does, these too pittered off slowly, yet the occasional sob could be barely made out. Mayhaps it was truely taxing for her to remain corperal.
Jader nodded a bit, understanding now as he straightened his body, "Ah I see. Are there any other matters you'd like to discuss? I really need to go train," He said calmly, once again folding his arms across his chest. His ever glowing orbs of hazel glistened a bit towards his comrade as well as the little girl.
Lantis: Once again silk clad lips parted, as though to protest, to force the wrath of such touches to coalesce within his throat and forge coherant words. Instead a breath wavered, frustration rising to his inability to talk, that his sire had rendered him mute. Angry warmed icy sphere that glared at his sire until his head canted, laying between captured arms, a flush drawn across ivory cheeks as he realised that whilst his head found the man's touch utterly vile his body disagreed with him entirely, arching into it. Silently he cursed it, berated the confusion within his mind, confusion that had lasted a good part of three centuries now towards his infatuation with the man and how the barest touch flushed fire into his cold frame. He disagreed with this sort of thing he firmly told himself even whilst he pushed into the touch seeking more.
Augustus felt a chill along his side, the draining of Whisp's own physical stature fading again into what appeared at sight a nothingness. Augustus' thoughts suddenly became lucid, but also hasty in their musing as the melodies of sorrow reached his ears. Without another thought towards it, he reached out and grasped the palm of the girl who sat aside him, yearning to grasp onto bare flesh that would alert him to the existence of physical reality, as warmth would radiate from his own gentle touch, his quick attempt at trying to soothe and pacify her raging sorrows, to keep her whole. He softly clutched it within the grasp of one hand as he stood and leaned in towards Jader, bringing his lips beside his ear so as to render his concluding whispers inaudible to any other. "You may go Jader. But there is another thing that I believe you must hear. Or someone must hear." Lashes fell closed, obscuring soft blue optics from sight as his head lowered somewhat, and his tone did the same accordingly. "I have contemplated the situation this entire night. And I could come to no other conclusions. With this girl, through the aid of the divine, I intend to share the very own vitality of my physical being. My life force."
Leif shifted his right hand, pushing his figure back down into the rough bark of the tree branch. His figure then replaced the hand, allowing his natural body weight to flatten him into the branch. His lips moved, ghosting over his chylde's neck, yet his tongue slipped over the expanse of the beautiful neck, taking in his intoxicating taste, claiming his person as his own. Right hand moved, raising his chylde's left leg around his right his right hip, grinding his hips heavily over his. His figure edged closer, tempting his chylde closer to such intimacy, such sinful trysts that would bound them into even more delightful events.
Jader's visage became very serious, eyeing Augustus suspiciously for a moment, hazel orbs searching for signs of falseness in his claim, but he knew he would find none. His own whisper graced the lobes of his comrade's ear, deep voice filled with concern, "You do know what will happen if you do that, don't you? You will be bound to each other forever, and both of you will become a lot more vulnerable to our enemies. Sharing your life force with another will dramatically weaken your power...Con Amore," Con Fuoco explained, but he was sure Augustus was quite aware of the consequences. Jader paused a moment, hazel orbs shifting to look at Whisp before turning their gaze back to his friend's, "Why her? Why are you sacrificing so much for this girl? You barely even know here..." He questioned, digits curling with frustration. Why was Augustus, a man he had always admired, willing to sacrifice the very power he had started this organization with to enable a girl to exist? He did not understand at all.
Whisp: The near silent sobs disapated eventually, an almost soothing calm from where she was, and again a slow fade into existance her small hand clasping Augustus's nearly tightly for a moment before merely letting him hold it. She knew not what he had said to Jader, t'was none of her business of the words they whispered to each other. Her cheeks surprisingly were damp, tears still glittering off the lashes, a faint rustle of her dress as she moved a little.
Lantis: Delicate digits curled about his garb, stray mahogany ribbons coiling across his figure as his head lowered, for a moment even tilting his head to expose a curve of ivory flesh. He shivered, finding himself quite breathless all of a sudden, thoughts of disgust turned to those of yearning as they always did when this man so wholy possessed him. Suddenly he pushed up, sinew straining as quite forcefully he sat up, pushing his sire back. Immediately fear struck at his core, causing another shiver, this one not generated by the subtle touches that threatened to overwhelm him and gain his concent. Sapphire orbs roved the perimeter, conscious that they were not alone, flushed delicate features seeming quite ashamed and guilty for the sudden act of sodomy that would otherwise taint the holy landscape. Carefully fingers rose a ribbon of mahogany silk, twisted about his digits, pressing his lips upon it as the scent of his sire snared his senses. ~Home please.~ A minicule whimper issued, seeking to gain his sire's understanding, desperate to do so even as he had offered a single and very rare show of affection towards his sire, hoping for the reward to be secluded away from these grounds as close to offering his approval for such intimacy as he'd ever get.
Augustus chose his words with a thorough circumspection, taking care to make every utterance serious, understandable, and utterly truthful as each individual syllable made sacred excursion across the separation between them, rendering his meaning entirely clear. "Jader. Remember what I'm about to say to you." A gentle sigh cut between his lips, the entire perspective of the situation seeming to flow forth softly with it. Time would seem to stand still within that moment, his vocals seeming to powerfully exalt each utterance while maintaining them at a barely audible volume. The sorrowful sobs seemed to make the situation all the more urgent, but still that epoch stood entirely still. Every nuance of that moment would remain permanently ingrained within Jader's consciousness, for Augustus did, indeed, take the moment to alter the very fabrics of time themselves, allowing adequate time for his decision to fully sink in. His heartbeat intensified, rising into furious pulsations that set about an affectionate rhythm in his entire body. Lips parted, and he finally spoke. "There are things more important in this world than power."
Leif gave a low growl of disproval at being forced back onto his knees, emerald optics blaring at his chylde. However, this was soon discarded by the faint, almost nonexistant, whimper. He allowed his emerald pools to roam over the scenery too, taking notice of the monastery's geography. He would then let them naturally graze back to his chylde. He'd raise his right fingertips, ghosting over his jaw as he seemed to mull over the suggestion. He'd finally shrug then, slowly raising to his feet, standing at his full height, pulling him up as well. He'd then start walking in the direction of their residence, to not only reward his chylde for the affection, but also to punish him dearly.
Augustus stepped back and cast his gaze around towards Whisp, her hand still held within his grasp, that affirmation of his physical being forcing the decision which he had arrived at to be finalized. He took a step towards her and motioned her upwards, to stand with that fragile frame, teetering between two planes of existence. Those cobalt optics were frozen, unmoving, but soft in their appearance as his head gently nodded towards her. Lips quivered slightly before he spoke. "Whisp. It's time to render you real again. Permanently, this time." He gave no indication of his intended method of achieving such hopeful reality, but rather gave another gentle nod of his head, aware of his obligations to life, to vivacity, to his divine ordinance, and to his own affections. Lips parted and spoke once more, simple and understandable instructions, as his heartbeat continued searching for the rhythm which celestial bodies required for such an incantation to be performed. "There's a chamber down the corridor which we must go to first, however."
Whisp: As he looks to her, ashen blue eyes meet his gaze easily, hope filtering into her eyes at his first set of words spoken. Then a strong flickering of desire for this, of intense longing that burned within the depths of her eyes. An exceptionally faint nod of her head to his second set of words. A minor squeeze of her hand to his, as though to say she was willing to follow him wherever he'd lead her. That all to familur tugging within her felt, a trembling smile trying to settle onto her lips, as she waited.
Jader's fiery gaze penetrated the very depths of Augustus' countenance, towering over his ally as if he were about to strike him down then and there. An internal struggle was obviously playing inside Jader's soul, the constant war being waged as he frowned. There are things more important in this world than power...the words echoed through the very atoms of his being. What could that mean? What things? So many questions bombarded his mentality before an exhalation of breath representeda swift defeat. Power had been all that mattered to him these many years, having trained his body to the very pennacle of perfection, but what now? Was all that for nothing? Has he been wasting his entire life?! Jader slowly backed away from Augustus, appendages raising as he stared at his hands in disbelief. "No...I refuse to believe that. I have paved my life with these two hands. I have used my power to smite evil, and to bring peace to his land, and now you stand there, TELLING ME IT'S NOT IMPORTANT!?" The fire inside his body raged, teeth clenching before opening his mouth again, "I don't believe it. My entire life I have protected myself with my power and protected the ones close to me, and here you blacken my name with your ideals...do whatever you want to, Augustus. I'll have no part in it," Jader said dangerously, eyes burning a bit with anger as he turned on his heel and stormed out of the room, single appendage raising and smashing the doors off their hinges, his form vanishing with a burst of flames.
Augustus lowered his head and muttered something softly beneath his breath, inaudible to those around as Jader smashed through the exit, heated in more ways than one. Unable to focus on such matters at the moment however, he smiled once more towards Whisp and began leading her by the hand into the corridor and shortly down the polished marble which adorned the floors of that mainhall. His robings, flushed ivory, trailed in tow, hastily gliding as he strode with a certain degree of purpose. The procession felt to him like an eternity, each footfall taken bearing the weight of obligation. So many obligations. Finally, they would arrive at the chamber of which he spoke. Swinging the ingress open upon its hinges, the sight of an impressive cross came into view. Clearly a divine symbol from where he came, it towered above the rest of the room, which was cast in shadows, lost to bleak obscurity. He relinquished Whisp's palm briefly and strode forwards before the mammoth symbol, eventually kneeling low before its presence. Eternally had he strove to prove himself before the one who had blessed him with existence and rendered his divine ordinance. The words seemed choked behind something, for once, completely devoid of melodic tones and lilting harmonies. They seemed, at the very least, sorrowful. Con Amore. With love, they said. It would be with holy passion and affinity that he confessed and gave prayer before the divine symbol, hoping that some deliverance would be offered and his poor soul would finally earn sanctification, and more importantly, forgiveness. His head canted upwards to lay his eyes upon the symbol as he waited, patiently, eyes locked upon it in search of some sort of sign of its recognition. For the first time, Con amore felt himself embracing sorrow. But, he considered to himself, that sorrow was for the betterment of his existence, and more importantly, for the existence of another. He stood and interlocked both hands together before his final utterances were heard before the emblem. "From the blessed Con Amore. Sola Fide." He would kick around in stride upon his heel, as his countenance seemed to shift back to his optimistic grin, an attempt at purging such sorrowful thoughts from the entirety of his being. He extended his hand to grasp Whisp's once more as they walked on. ...
Whisp: Intense sorrow echoing in those eyes as she let herself be led on. Standing as still as the walls about her, while Augustus knelt. Ashen blue eyes lifting only when she heard his steps draw near her again, a look up into his eyes, searchingly. Before finally extending her hand to slide into his grasp again, once more moving to fall into step with him. Indeed though she was delicate, only 4'6" to be exact.
Augustus led her delicate frame out to the corridor once again, the bright luminance which focused along its entire length providing the sight which he would need to finally perform that ceremony. Stepping directly into the center of that hallway, he would halt and turn about, casting azure optics upon her own, examining the depths of her very spirit. Her thoughts and her desires would be things for which he sought discovery of, the sorrow still apparent in the fibers of her fragile being. He extended his other hand now and simply spoke, the tone of an alluring tenor returned to his vocals, "Now give me your other hand."
Whisp: As with seemingly a swallow her free hand raised, and moved towards his. Within her ashen blue hues the barest hints of a shattered fragment of a memory, that which caused mayhaps the greatest sorrow within her, a glimpse up from murky depths of a type of dark substance.. the rest of it apparently lost elsewhere within her. A slow curling of her fingers within the grasp of his other hand.
Augustus held tightly both her hands and gently lowered his head while his lips moved about on their own, quickly muttering inaudible enchantments. It began at a languid pace, a tediously slow reinvigoration of the girl who stood before him. Soon, however, things would begin to quicken. Blonde tresses suddenly began dancing feverishly about his countenance as soon gentle gales would drift through at uneven intervals, some force that seemed, at the least, otherworldly. His incantations continued as celestial brethren made heed to his callings. Rendered from above would be an intense pillar radiating a bright azure that embraced the two frames. That was all that would be deemed necessary. The divine recognition which he had sought earlier before the cross. While within this incandescent realm, a vivacious flow of began to circulate about his every feature before making that excursion to where their palms touched. A warmth would emanate there as the very vitality that made up Augustus' livelihood began shifting across boundaries, across entire planes of existence, as the figure before him finally began to solidify.
Whisp: T'was first her hands, the feeling of surreal flesh becoming solid real flesh, a subtle warmth, a very real pressure and the slow disapation of the chilling cold, a tightening of the girls body as her arms underwent the same shifting. A tightening of her lips as she felt this flood into rest of her, the feeling of sensations overwhelming. The girl seeming nearly trapped between worlds for a breathtaking split moment of time. Before a shuddering breath was drawn in through lungs. The transforming continuing still to breath life into her, a feeling of awareness, a tingling as the chillingness slowly left her warming flesh.
Augustus would suddenly falter to a single knee, the abrupt removal of such vitality from his body within such a short amount of time briefly shocking his frame. But he held onto her grip steadfast and stood once again, inattentively biting his lower lip to remove the exhaustion from his thoughts. Within few moments, his eyes would lay upon her frame restored entirely, again vivacious and lively. A gentle smile struggled through the fatigue which wore his body, such incantations bearing heavy effects upon their users. Such sight ultimately warmed his very soul, however, and when upon a foundation as such, his will would refuse to let him fall.
Whisp: A clasp of his hands with her own, the last of the chill leaving her as she slowly drew breath after breath, luxuriating in the feel of it, ashen blue eyes closing for the beat of two heartbeats, then reopening as she saw him partly kneeing down. Worry alighting in those eyes for him and how this had indeed effected him. "..Are thee ok?.." A half shuddering of her small frame, it was obviously going to take some getting used to.
Augustus gently nodded, as his lips quivered before speaking once again, this occasion not out of anticipation but out of an involuntary physical reaction. "Yes. I'll be fine." He shook his head quickly to regain some extent of his composure, unable to focus on such insignificant matters as his own exhaustion as long as the service had been rendered successful. His thoughts eager, those cobalt eyes made daring excursion to her fully restored countenance, basking in the full graces of youth as he inquired of her, "So tell me. Do you feel alright?"
Whisp: A few slow moments would pass, before finally a gentle nod was given. "..t'will.. take some getting used to.." Her words fragile still, trembling, as she tried vainly to suppress a shiver that raked through her small frame. "..Tis there..." A small half close of her eyes, before she continued on her voice now almost a whisper.. "..there tis something thee must tell me.." Lashes slowly lifting as ashen blue hues stared deepily into his own gaze.
Augustus tilted his head as the words seemed to pour from her lips with a different tone entirely now. Something else seemed to reverberate from those vocal chords, what he took as a sign to the success of the incantation. As she spoke, the time was given for a gentle exhalation to escape between his lips, rendering his heart beats back to a normal, steady pace, matching the speed at which his thoughts seemed to wander and travel. As she began again, he merely inquired in response, searching her features, "Hrm?"
Whisp: A gentle cant of her head to the side, soft sounds of raven curls brushing over velvet material. "..in.. doing this.. tis there.. anything thee finds thy must tell me.." She felt different. That much she knew. Was difficult getting used to the fact that even the slightest thing gave sensation. A half close of her eyes as she breathed in and out slowly, feeling her heart beating. A slight movement of her fingers in his hands, brought about her eyes drifting fully closed. True indeed her voice had slightly different tone to it now, but t'was still obviously soft, it merely now had the added warmth.
Augustus lowered his head, tilting his gaze down directly towards her as her lashes fell closed. Thoughts raced about his head within those brief moments as his eyes softened before her countenance. A soft sigh drifted between his lips as he pondered the question which she had asked of him. Such musings rendered him in a state of indecision before his heart rate would reach where it was meant to be, and his thoughts firmly collected into a coherent response. He leaned in towards her and smiled graciously, eyes closing themselves as his lips imparted melodic and gentle words upon her senses, "No. Nothing at all."
