Description: Basis:
In the year 2010, our world was attacked and enslaved by a race no one thought to be real: Fairies. Though often portrayed playful and finicky, in actuality these beings were thought to be destructive and evil. With the element of surprise, the influx quickly made its way to the leaders of the world, where they were made to sign a 'treaty' stating the planet Earth would supply the Fairies with one million slaves every ten years, or else face unspecified consequences.

This story takes place when one girl, Celesse Jetter, takes the place of her little brother, who was supposed to be taken and enslaved by the Fairies. After arriving and being auctioned off, she finds herself in the home of a political tycoon--a man who's very close to the corrupt King.

Characters to Choose From:
Fairies (Either of the Kingdom, Desert, or Forest)
A Human Slave
If you have another idea for a character, just run it by me.

The World:

The Fairies came to our world via a portal they created with Angel blood, so their dimension is totally different. The city this takes place in is called Tajmal, and it's the capital of this particular kingdom, called Artesmya. It's right by the huge mountain range that splits the continent in half, the Golmos Mountains, and it has a sister city called Lamjat about one hundred miles away, on the other side of said mountains. If you follow the huge river (The Dinne)that runs by Tajmal south, you hit the coast, where the next largest city in the kingdom resides--a city called Mulnic. Being a port city, it is very important to the rest of the kingdom. Many other small towns reside through the kingdom, most on the side where Tajmal is located, to the west of the Golmos.

Also to the west resides a desert on a huge peninsula, a good 350 miles from Tajmal. The Fairies that live there are harsh, like the environment. The different tribes huddle around the sparse oasis sprinkled across the landscape.

To the east, located on a smaller peninsula, is a sprawling forest. The Fairies who inhabit this land are very earthy and peaceful, though they often visit Tajmal as tourists. They tend to wear clothing made from the materials around them, unlike the people of the Kingdom who have perfected the art of synthetic fabric.

Culture:

I'm not gonna get into a lot of detail about this, but I guess it's important. The Fairies of the Kingdom tend to me materialistic and drink. A lot. They love to be dramatic, and they have hardly any inhibitions at all. Generally. The main drink of choice with the Fairies of the Kingdom is wine. Their world is colorful, and they like to imitate that in the way they dress--walking through the streets would send a lot of people into a fit. As mentioned before, the fairies of the Kingdom have found ways to mix different fabrics in the most amazing ways, creating hybrids that are beautiful and soft.

For the most part, Fairies look similar to humans, except for one distinct difference: their eyes take on a very distinct, cat-like appearance. This is largely due to the fact that Fairies are mostly nocturnal, because of the sun setting very early (most of the time it's dark by mid afternoon).

The city itself is looks like a flashback to London or New York in the 1800's--they Kingdom has decided that the reason humans are so distraught is because of their technology, so they keep the knowledge of it from their people.
