Description: Basis: In the year 2010, our world was attacked and enslaved by a race no one thought to be real: Fairies. Though often portrayed playful and finicky, in actuality these beings were thought to be destructive and evil. With the element of surprise, the influx quickly made its way to the leaders of the world, where they were made to sign a 'treaty' stating the planet Earth would supply the Fairies with one million slaves every ten years, or else face unspecified consequences. This story takes place when one girl, Celesse Jetter, takes the place of her little brother, who was supposed to be taken and enslaved by the Fairies. After arriving and being auctioned off, she finds herself in the home of a political tycoon--a man who's very close to the corrupt King. Characters to Choose From: Fairies (Either of the Kingdom, Desert, or Forest) A Human Slave If you have another idea for a character, just run it by me. The World: The Fairies came to our world via a portal they created with Angel blood, so their dimension is totally different. The city this takes place in is called Tajmal, and it's the capital of this particular kingdom, called Artesmya. It's right by the huge mountain range that splits the continent in half, the Golmos Mountains, and it has a sister city called Lamjat about one hundred miles away, on the other side of said mountains. If you follow the huge river (The Dinne)that runs by Tajmal south, you hit the coast, where the next largest city in the kingdom resides--a city called Mulnic. Being a port city, it is very important to the rest of the kingdom. Many other small towns reside through the kingdom, most on the side where Tajmal is located, to the west of the Golmos. Also to the west resides a desert on a huge peninsula, a good 350 miles from Tajmal. The Fairies that live there are harsh, like the environment. The different tribes huddle around the sparse oasis sprinkled across the landscape. To the east, located on a smaller peninsula, is a sprawling forest. The Fairies who inhabit this land are very earthy and peaceful, though they often visit Tajmal as tourists. They tend to wear clothing made from the materials around them, unlike the people of the Kingdom who have perfected the art of synthetic fabric. Culture: I'm not gonna get into a lot of detail about this, but I guess it's important. The Fairies of the Kingdom tend to me materialistic and drink. A lot. They love to be dramatic, and they have hardly any inhibitions at all. Generally. The main drink of choice with the Fairies of the Kingdom is wine. Their world is colorful, and they like to imitate that in the way they dress--walking through the streets would send a lot of people into a fit. As mentioned before, the fairies of the Kingdom have found ways to mix different fabrics in the most amazing ways, creating hybrids that are beautiful and soft. For the most part, Fairies look similar to humans, except for one distinct difference: their eyes take on a very distinct, cat-like appearance. This is largely due to the fact that Fairies are mostly nocturnal, because of the sun setting very early (most of the time it's dark by mid afternoon). The city itself is looks like a flashback to London or New York in the 1800's--they Kingdom has decided that the reason humans are so distraught is because of their technology, so they keep the knowledge of it from their people.

Catalyst(Go To Thread)Another wave of triumph swept through Kiriel's amazonian form and she gave the dearest Princess Lumi a wolf's grin- all pride and teeth, before fitting her arm through that of Del's own, forcefully linking them together. The desert fae laughed playfully, keeping her obsidian orbs locked upon her lovely cousin dearest as she began to walk through the slowly parting, glittering, throng of court fae. She used her broad shoulders and arrogant, royal, aura to shove those who did not move fast enough out of her way.
As an afterthought, the savage woman half-turned her head, shooting Lumi yet another vile, amused grin. "Do come along, Sweets. Wouldn't want to soil your lovely reputation by leaving you, unescourted, in such a wondrous..Place." The female shook her head, tangled silver strands falling along her shoulders as she seemed to give the other a look of 'fear', as if dreading what could happen to the female's virtue.
Her voice simply dripped with veiled contempt, trying to place Lumi as a chore in Del's mind. It was simply too easy, so far, to have captured the male's attention and to snub her competition at the same time. Posted by: Saken at 17:52:59, 01/09/11.
| Upon looking around in Tajmal, they were approached by a guard, and that’s when the grip of her father’s arm around her tightened her protectively. The sternness on Ronan’s face warned her, and she too, reflected the feelings of her father. He casually glanced down at Nixie, a small smile forming now. She took after him in so many ways and had confidence that once he was long gone she’d be placed into his former path with ease.
“Hello Ronan, Nixie. Do you require any refreshments or relief?” The words were as if practiced, and the practitioner was more than happy to oblige to do so. She glanced up at her father, and instantly shook her head. For some odd reason she had the familiar gut feeling they shouldn’t except any sort of beverages later.
“I, accompanied by my daughter, would like to speak to King Tiernan, if able.” He nodded and lead them to the Palace’s main front door. In their native language, Nixie expressed her feeling of distrust, and her father only acknowledged that on this day and at this time it was a good feeling to trust.??“Please wait here.” And they were left at the front door. Ronan’s hand was near a weapon, smiling in play, his other opposing arm holding Nixie while her eyes flashed of a trickery blue. Exactly 20 minutes later, the guard returned and lead them through the entry. Ronan has been here many times in his long years. He was living to be over 1,000. He knew the palace well and from the looks of this guard, he was not around as long as he was. Maybe the oldest is 700. His daughter, unfortunately being still a babe, did not know the surroundings as well. He’d have to teach her at a later time. They were being lead to the throne room. | As King Tiernan's stiff, resolute back met the soft, giving back of the large chair in his private meeting room, an uncharacteristic sigh slid past his lips. His children were away at auction, all of his guards were posted and vigilant, and there hadn't been any signs of a slave uprising in weeks. All was well within the Kingdom, which indubitably meant something was, in fact, wrong. When was the last time he was able to sit and relax like this? Surely before his children were born, and even then before he took the initiative to enslave the lesser, unintelligent humans. It was...unnerving. He wanted to get up, to move, to face a problem and fix it, ANYTHING to keep his mind preoccupied. Idle time was not safe, especially for Tiernan. There were too many bad memories, too many feelings of revulsion and love and angry, sadistic revenge that could interfere with his plans...with the prophecy. But that scathing WITCH of a woman, the one who born his children--!
No. This was not the time. His eyes swept the lavish room he resided in. The desk before him was absolutely huge, made of a solid, dark wood that would intimidate any who dared come before him. His chair rose above even his tall stature, also instilling fear into any who saw it. But the complete picture, the pièce de résistance, was, of course, him. His dark, foreboding clothing worked well with his long black hair, cutting blue eyes, and defined bone structure. If any came before him, they would tremble at his will. The control made him shake with excitement, but he dared not get carried away. He was, after all, the king. The main authority in the land. He must show restraint and wisdom and force and compassion, even if he didn't truly feel it. It had to be done.
An expected knock sounded against the heavy wooden door. He allowed the guard to enter, already knowing what he would say.
"Sir, some representatives from the Fluid Fairies are here." Fluid fairies was the derogatory term used around here for the water nymphs. Annoying little bastards, in the king's opinion. But no matter.
"Ask if they require any refreshment or relief, have them wait for twenty minutes outside this door, then let them in. Make sure you stand close with your weapon half-pulled. They mustn't get comfortable."
The guard nodded decisively. He knew the game. Posted by: Jamee at 21:26:44, 01/04/11.
| "Why..I would."
A light smile formed on his lips as he stared into the eyes of his cousin. To the Fey, the eyes were a sign of bonding and respect.
"I would love to, Flesh of mine."
“Wonderful!” He said as his grip on her hand tightened for a moment and proceeded to chatter idly. Lumi, however, was not pleased as she watched. A light twitch of the eye brow and a frozen smile crossed her face as she watched the act before her. Yes, he was infatuated with her now but soon he would return home. There was no way a desert rat would claim her throne...or her heart.
As their cousin smiled at Lumi, the girl rudely scratched her stomach as if she were not a guest in this Kingdom. "We are leaving now, right? Wouldn't want to be..Late for your own party.." The rat asked loosely and with a furrowed brow, the young Princess spoke, “We shall be leaving momentarily. The auctioneer is retrieving documents for our...new toys.” She smiled pleasantly as their cousin proceeded to tempt her brother publicly. A slight flush rose around the Fey's neck however she spoke as calm as water, “Brother, have you seen the Serenity Gardens? I would love to go for a stroll there.”
Dellywynne waved his hand lightly, “I'll be sure to take you there, sister. I shall be back in a few moments...” He said before following his foreign cousin, leaving Lumi alone... Posted by: Myrin at 15:39:08, 01/02/11.
| It has been awhile since Nixie has been to Tajmal. The Fae of the city were very materialistic in their needs, and she didn't find any need here. She usually came here when her father brought her with her. He never wanted her to be ignorant on what goes on in the other cities and places of the Fae world. That in itself was a big mistake. It was ironic to her, how closely the Fae were becoming like the humans themselves. She was disgusted with the idea of having human slaves, but her feet weren't placed politically on just what to do about the situation. As she told Leith, when the course of action arises, then they should set forth. Not before, not after. That was poor footing.
Her father, Ronan, kept a tight arm around the dip of her hip, tugged protectively into his side. Compared to his masculine self, she was very tiny and still a babe. Nixie was used to the attention they brought, because it was rare to see a Water Fae in Tajmal. They should've been used to Nixie and Ronan coming to visit. The food here was also delicious, but could prove to be a poison if too much was consumed. For her birthday she'd come here with her father for a small desert.
Every now and then she'd nuzzle into affectionately, hues glancing about with azure hues. She cringed lightly. It seemed that the human slave auction was coming to a near even if their were a few humans left to be taken up. How corrupted and wrong this felt.
"Father..."
"I know, I know. I will speak to the King, soon. Again." He smiled, squeezing her form gently. Posted by: Belle at 05:29:20, 12/15/10.

Catalyst Excerpts(Go To Thread)This is when Celesse is taken to the Auctioning:
I blinked several times as I took in my surroundings. Everything was so…colorful. It was the very opposite of what I had expected. The walls were decorated in colorful coats of arms, ranging from a dove carrying an oak leaf to a unicorn rearing while being surrounded by a flock of birds. They were eerily similar to some of the ones I had seen while studying the medieval times, except these ones were more refined. Every detail was expertly sewn in a fine fabric I had never seen before. And the colors they used…they were breathtaking. Bright pinks and brilliant blues were mixed with grass greens and fabulous yellows. It was like being inside a giant bag of Skittles. *** I choked as I saw the Fairies. The females were in fabulous dresses that also reminded me of some of the gowns nobility wore in the medieval times. But, again, it seemed the Fairies perfected them. The fabric they used reminded me of some of the contemporary fabric that was man made on Earth, except the ones I was looking at had an un-earthly glow to them. Like they were coated in magic. *** This is for Mid: The first time Celesse sees Dellywynne. It's okay if he doesn't look like this.
There was one that caught my attention, however. He was sitting on a raised platform that was opposite the stage I was placed on. He had on blue breeches with shiny black shoes and a black shirt with the rearing unicorn coat of arms on it in white velvet. His shoulder length blonde hair was pulled back in a severe ponytail, which allowed me to see his breathtaking, almond-shaped brown eyes, which had a bored look to them. *** For Midnight: Jaydona
She was wearing a flowing pink silk gown. It almost reminded me of the silk nightgowns millionaires wear on Earth. Pink-dyed fur surrounded the cuffs, neck, and hem. It sparkled, like it had diamonds imbedded in its stitching. Jaydona’s head was held high and proud, like she was better than everyone else and she knew it. I did not like her. Ms. Prissy raised an eyebrow and asked Noilo a question, probably along the lines of “What on Earth are you doing here?” Noilo replied with his head down and a gesture towards me. Jaydona rolled her eyes with her reply, and then walked away into the labyrinth of her room. After she was out of seeing and hearing distance, Noilo rolled his eyes, also. “I do not mean to be rude, but she can be so…What would the word be, Celesse ?” The word came to my mind instantly. “Um, holier-than-thou?” *** The Psychics
The area we were walking through was mostly residential, but occasionally we would pass a building that had a sign outside of it. When they did, Celesse would ask Noilo what they foreign words meant. There were dentists, lawyers, psychics, barber shops—just like a normal town would have. Though, the psychics intrigued her. Did they actually work, or were they hoaxes, like in her world? I asked Noilo this, and he replied, “Oh yes, they work. Well, some of them. The little ones we are passing here on the street—Hiinsly, we call them—can be wrong. But our king has an entire entourage of the infallible ones working with him. He strongly believes in their prophecies, which some would say is one of his flaws. But, they bring change—sometimes dramatic—, which the rich benefit from. If only it wasn’t just them…I digress. He is our ruler, God help him. I should not be complaining, now, should I?” *** Another one for Mid: THE KISS
I had to let go of Noilo to dodge a group of people coming towards me. I turned around, right into the arms of a young man. He had short dark hair and olive toned skin, which was dulled by the dark green shirt and bright yellow pants. He said something unintelligible, then leaned down and planted a rough kiss right on my lips. At first, I didn’t know what to do. I just stood there, totally unresponsive. That seemed to make him angry, however. When he started kissing harder, he got my attention. I screamed into his mouth and slapped at him, but he didn’t seem to mind. The fact that he got a reaction from me egged him on, and he started to try to open my mouth with his. I was about to take more drastic measures when Noilo came up behind him and slapped him hard in the back of the head. The man grunted and pulled away. He looked around with a confused expression on his face and when he found Noilo, he seemed to get frustrated. Noilo gave him a fiery gaze and started yelling at him so quickly, none of the words were intelligible to Celesse. The man yelled back, but fortunately he backed off. Huffing, he walked down the street until he was lost in the crowd. *** Something I found funny: Celesse talking about Rumors she heard about Dellywynne “He’s probably plotting a way to torture me even worse than his father is currently. You know, stuff like that normally runs in the family. He’s probably even more of a nut than his father. Have you heard the stories told about him? I heard that he had like, twenty kids, and all from different moms! I’m not saying it’s true, but you never know. Do you know what kind of person has that many children out of wedlock, though? Seriously. He’s probably just as much a player as his father. I‘ve heard some people say that he doesn‘t even have to speak to a chick before she jumps into bed with him. What kind of womanizing idiot does that? Good lord, he must have super Viagra.”

| I know I haven't been around much, but I'm still up for it. I got stuck waiting for Saken or Cream to post, but am definitely interested. Posted by: Faithykinz at 02:27:32, 08/07/10.
| Okey guys, so we're gonna try and get this RP on board again. Mid is taking over Midnight's spot, seeing as she COMPLETELY DISAPPEARED, and I'm gonna try and get a hold of Saken.
If you're still interested, please TELL ME here. We're not accepting anymore human characters, so if you're new you have to make a Fae. They can either be part of the court or part of the resistance. Court Fae can be considered the bad guys, unless they're double crossing. The resistance will come into play soon.
Oh, and this is also the OOC thread. I forgot to make one of those a LONG time ago. Posted by: Jamee at 13:06:22, 08/06/10.
