It's your game too Gabriel. You have whatever freedoms you wish to start your character off, so long as they're in congruence with his history and the current storyline. An intro post doesn't have to get interact with the rest of the game right away, but it's a good idea to at least give yourself an opening with which to do so.

So my new post will be up sometime soon. It seems the army has decided to send me to infantry school for three weeks. They gave me this news about a week before I have to report for training, so I'll be gone for about three weeks between the 6th and the 25th. Faith has my contact information and can get a hold of me if anyone needs anything in that time, otherwise i plan on purchasing a laptop when i get back and being able to post from mob-station.

I'm gonna reboot this from the sound of things. I liked the dynamic we had going with several of the characters, i'd like to keep that. I wanna tweak a few things from the start, like the rune power thing, and also run the game as definitely more of a horror RPG than an action one. Action is great, but it's a lot more thrilling when you're in more danger. I'd like to affect that by making the weapons necessary to kill supernatural creatures more difficult to come by, and therefore limited in their use. If your character has to struggle in every encounter, it feels like more of a triumph. Having a bunch of cut-out bad guys to knock down in fights is fun and entertaining as an action RPG, but it doesn't suit a horror game.

I have very limited internet access at the moment, but i can write offline and throw up a new starting post for the game when i get a chance. I hope everyone's okay with that. This RPG didn't really get off the ground as much as i would've liked it too and i mostly blame myself and the army for that.

Character profiles will be accepted again, since you don't need to use runes anymore and the atmosphere of the game is going to be a little different, feel free to make any changes or don't for characters that were already submitted. Or if you just want to start with a new character, go for it. I encourage new players to check this out and also submit characters. I'll throw up an opening storyline post when i get a chance.

For references, if anyone wants to know more about what's going on, i recommend looking up the WoDwiki, or if they have access, reading any of the old world of darkness books, such as Vampire the Masquerade, Changeling the Dreaming, Werewolf the Apocalypse, Hunter the Reckoning, Demon the Fallen, or Wraith the I-can't-remember. Most of the monsters that i create for this story will be drawn from those books and the WoD system

Hey guys sorry for going MIA back in June.  After I moved things started picking up and then it just turned into a crazy busy summer.  But I'd like to rejoin if this is rebooting.

One question: if we don't need runes anymore, what happens to rune magic?  Is there still magic at all, or how does that all work now?

Also, are you basically worldbuilding from the old WoD material, or does the new WoD stuff have any influence?

Sorry it took so long to get up folks. I've got less than a week left in country, so hopefully i'll be able to pick up some wireless during any lay-overs in airports and once we get overseas. Things might be crazy for the first few weeks getting set up, but i'll do what i can.
