So, out of everyone/anyone who is actually here on this site, what kind of role-play (or what literature, for that matter) do you go for? It looked to me like there was only a handful of people actually posting regularly since the beginning of the year, so I'm specifically asking those fine folks. I personally prefer pseudo-realistic quasi-historical fantasy where the actual fantasy bits are rare and the nature of magic is extremely vague, necessary limits on power notwithstanding. That's what I like to write, anyway. I haven't role-played in a long time. I'm good for other things, (Key of Solomon Agency looks enticing. I love that occult stuff.) although I was never too big on realistic, modern settings; my creative juices just don't flow that way.

Anyway, enough about me. TL;DR Anyone want to help me start a role-play? I'm new and fresh and replete with a child's optimism, and according to this site, I'm totally awesome! And we all know the internet does not lie.

Yeah, i'm definitely into modern stuff. i like the limitations set forth by real world physics and such, because I understand them. I know realism, and therfore i feel like i can play with it a lot more than i can vaguely set up magical settings and abilities. KOSA is a bit of an exception, as it's based on a game that i know the rules to rather well, so i know the capabilities of the monsters i'm throwing up there.

Alright. So I'm definitely interested in starting some kind of RP if I can get the people. Haven't made one in years so if anyone has some specific ideas for a premise I'd love to hear them. I'd just like to have a premise that's actually a setup for a plot rather than just a setting. I prefer a plot with a goal and an antagonist to a "put all of our characters in the in the same room and see what happens" situation.

Come up with an idea and start an interest thread, see if anyone bites. My ideas I like to run my own game based on, but if someone wants to give you the reigns on their RPG idea and see what you can do with it, works i guess.
