All right, this is our third and destined-to-be-epic-this-time-seriously installment of Mediuma. I should mention right now that if you sign up and then go idle on us, I'm going to find you, kick your door down, and beat you to death in front of your loved ones.This roleplay takes place in a post-modern universe. The technology is advanced beyond modern day, but is still limited -- no colonies, no space travel. Ballistic weaponry is used by both sides of the conflict as the official ground-based weaponry. Airships, being the standard in upper-class commuting, are used in raids and airborne combat. To make matters more hectic, large quantities of people across the planet are starting discover the ability to use magic, throwing a further chaos onto the battlefield. Being destructive in nature, with only perhaps one healer to a hundred killers, this magic, in the hands of those that understand it, has become a serious threat.

Stats:
We are using a very basic stat system in this Roleplay. Every character has five points to put into each of the following categories. Zero points is no ability, one is poor ability, two is average ability, and three is great ability. These stats are not permanent restrictions. We will allow for characters to develop beyond these stats as the story progresses.
+Piloting -- The ability to pilot Airships. The higher the skill, the larger, more complex, craft a character can pilot with greater success.
+Melee Combat -- With the advent of magical powers, melee weapons have found themselves working their ways back into the battlefield with various enchantments and other magical enhancements. The higher skill one has in this field, the more varied and skillful a character can wield a melee weapon.
+Ranged Combat -- The most common weapon on the battlefield is still the gun, and as such, is still a worthwhile skill to have. The higher the level, the wider ranger and more accurate a character is with projectile weaponry.
+Magic -- Soon to rival ballistic weapons on the battlefield, the more points a character has in this field, the more powerful the spell said character can cast.

A few notes on skills: There is a three-point cap on each skill, and a player must have a decent reason for having a 3 off the start in any field. Additionally, a 3 in magic can only be obtained from the start if the character is a scholar or official in the government's employ. I would once again like to reiterate that a character won't gain more skill points or anything later in the RP, but will be allowed to evolve their character beyond his/her initial abilities.
