Hello chaps and chapesses, a fellow RPing buddy (who I'm trying to convince to join another forum, i.e: this one, so though he's not here for the time being, I'm pretty sure I can get him here soon enough) and I have been thinking up a Star Wars RP, based sometime around 3000 BBY (that's
Before the
Battle of
Yavin, in the older films, where the Empire gets their asses kicked by some carnivorous teddy bears) in a time of great Jedi and Sith presence. The basic plot so far is that many Jedis staying at Coruscant have been found dead, assassinated. This systematic killing of powerful individuals has the city-planet on edge, with the Hutt gang getting worried about the effect this will have on business.
As a result, they've placed a considerable bounty for anyone who can identify and stop this/these killers. They want them dead, and dealt with quickly. The bounty is so high that every wannabe bounty hunter, merc and low-life that's ballsy enough to think they stand a chance are doing their best sniffing around bars for clues for the whereabouts and identity of these now illustrious killers. This has caused quite a ruckus throughout the planet, new gangs forming especially for this, crime rising as more and more scum filter into the city's Underworld to try their luck at gathering info.
We're looking for four players, a maximum of two Force-sensitive ones, of a good RPing calibre, and willing to continuously brainstorm with us as we progress in this RP. We're not asking for rapid-fire posting, far to the contrary, quality over quantity. In a setting as rich, complex and simply large as the Star Wars Expanded Universe, there's a great deal of freedom, and we want to RP with players who can grasp that freedom and craft some excellent characters and stories thanks to it. You don't have to be a total Star Wars geek and know every war to have struck the Galaxy to join, I myself know fairly little outside what I've seen in the films and my few trips to
Wookieepedia, the Star Wars universe's very own Wiki, with more info than you can shake a lightstaff at.
So go ahead and shoot questions, cries of awe and amazement, simple signs of interest or whatever, while I convince Dante to join this damn place.
