A quick question for everyone...

As it has come to my knowledge i have found that I know a SHITTON of furries. Now some of you are thinking one thing while some of you are thinking completely different things...and I'll bet that neither of your two sick-minded ideas are what is going to happen here in this thread. I'm simply wondering who is and who is not furry here at The Getaway. Now...I know most of you would like to remain anonymous about your furfandom. You can either post openly your alignment here on this thread or send me a private message. Then again don't feel obligated to answer. If you want to remain unanswered I'll assume that you're not one and I'll never say anything about it to you.

Please understand that this is not in any way a ruse to try and make anything undesirable for anybody but rather a simple and meaningless survey. And on that note I'd also like to remind people here of how awesome and supportive you all are here at TGA. I'm sure that everybody will get the message and not rip on the people that decide to come out with their feelings, if there are any at all that is.

Well, all I can say is that I hope none of you flame and I wish to see a lot of furry faces here at The Getaway. And just to get the ball rolling I'll openly say that I'm a proud member of the furry community. If you have any questions or anything like that please either post them here or PM me and I'll get back to you on it as soon as I can! Thanks guys, you're the best! ^.^

I may or may not totally rip into some furries, but if I do it's all in good fun. I'm sometimes kind of an asshole because it's funny.

As for my take on furries, i'll say that there are some fucked up people out there, but that comes in all organizations, you have people that take it to extremes. Perfect example is being in Afghanistan, there are plenty of moderate, reasonable muslims, and then you have fanatics that everyone associates with terrorism and Islam. It's a minority.

Likewise, there are some really perverted furries that like to dress up and have giant orgies. And then there's some furry porn which can be disturbing.

I don't get the furry thing personally, so i won't be partaking, but if there's a call for it in this community y'all can set up your own subforum to discuss your interests and plan furry gatherings where you can do whatever it is you do. I won't object.

Thanks for your answer Andrew. May I say that I know one of the kind of furry you're talking about and he's pretty cool. He doesn't go around ALL DAY dressed like an animal and have orgies every week though. He lives a pretty normal life and for special occasions sometimes he might show up in his fursuit. That's what they're called if you were wondering, those costumes. And what's more is he's my boyfriend. The suit is just more of a playful kinda thing for most furries that do it. It's their way of expressing themselves.

So thank you again Andrew for your answer but next time could you please stray towards the non-trolling side of the spectrum? It's sort of a touchy subject for some of us.

I can't promise to give you special treatment just because you or anyone else is a sensitive sally about it. If there's something to give someone shit about, I'll probably do it. Cuz life's no fun if you can't laugh at it, regardless of what it is.

I mean, you're talkin' furry on the internet on an RP site with an average age of 20+ and expect not to have a least a little fun poked? ;]

It's out of love, dop. Especially if it's coming from Andrew. He's definitely a troll, but we love him for it and unlike most of them he's really not out cause too much disruption. Riiiiight, Andrew?

That said, the "furry" thing is not a circle I walk in or understand at all. Not that I'm necessarily opposed to having new members who are into it or whatever, but it's certainly not a community I would be able to participate in.

That said, I'm sure we are all adult and respectful enough to accept the fact that some of us choose to live a lifestyle outside of what each other chooses to believe. Opening new doors to new things is never a bad idea.
