Let's discuss interesting things happening around the world! Woo~
Haiti; How sad is it that people are using others troubles for scams? Did you know that some of the "send money to Haiti" charities are just scams? People have already taken thousands. For shame.
The White house crashers! Lol, how in the hell did THREE people sneak into the White house? Are the secret services sleeping on us?
O'Brien, I feel kinda bad for him. I actually think he's funny and I do hope he makes a deal with Fox. Apparently, he's not allowed to join another station until September... and they got about 37 million (He gets around 32 million and the rest is divided among his staff).
Michael Jackson's giraffes were possibly murdered.
Kate and Jon are finally BORING.
More actors/tresses are dying.
They found a simplier way to kill breast cancer... freeze it off!
I want interesting stuff to talk about!

You mean the debate over who is the sexiest isn't serious enough for you? ^_^
Seriously, people are using the Haiti crisis to
scam
people out of money? I cannot believe the extent that some people will forget their morality just to make some dirty money. For Christssake, a second earthquake hit the already destroyed country. I wonder if some people have hearts anymore - I really do.
I have no idea about most of that news though, being as how I live in England and it seems to be mostly America focused. However - yay to someone finding a way to deal with breast cancer.
My only contact with the news is me checking the Daily Mail website every couple of days or so. I don't have a television or permanent internet to scan for news. Personal peeve though; I just found out that Peter Jackson is considering Toby McGuire for the role of Biblo Baggins in
The Hobbit

Haiti: I'm not surprised. It happens every time a disaster happens where people try to raise money.
I am so pissed about the Conan thing. >:/ I am glad he is getting money out of them since they breached his contract, but still...So not cool.
The rest I either haven't heard about or don't care. >_>

Here is the thing about this crisis in Haiti.
For years people have always acted as if they were helping others, to gain money for their own greedy desires. Such as the Renaissance and the catholic churches. The Catholic churches attempted to completely scam people of all of their money to earn them a spot into heaven, or that was the claim. People went for it, and believed it, and it took a single person and the realization and courage that it was all wrong to bring them to their knees.
This situation is different. While that was a normal tradition to people to do, and a lifestyle, this is a crisis which is trying to be solved and coped with. In my understanding of the matter, there will be scams, and there will be people that are in this for nothing but payout in the end. There are plenty of people that are doing this to gain something in the very end. All we can do is attempt to bring them down, and do what we can to help.
I recently donated the 35 dollars, that I got for my allowance from about two months ago. I think that the people there need it, alot more than I do honestly. Just do what you can, and don't stress too much on the scammers. Just know what is a scam, and what is real. I am working with my school and district in the Student Council to assure that my money goes to the right place, and that is to the help of those that are out there, dying, and alone, and beyond.

Well it doesn't have to be just "American" based news, honestly I'm interested in hearing about things from other countries as well. =)

The Haitian people all need to die. Die. Die. Die. I mean, they are disease infested people with not the means to cure themselves, individually, let alone their mass. All the deaths so far still haven't reduced the threat of AIDS and shit, what a bummer(>_> Ignore this sentence).
Don't see why the American people should even offer our financial aid, when we ourselves, just do not have it. I can understand sending resources and such, but to provide and try to raise millions of dollars for a population that was already a fucking shit-hole seems a bit idiotic to me. At least these scammers know what they're doing.
None of the other topics interested me. =(

So guys, English news. Some kids beat a small child to death (or threw it in front of a train, either way.), they were given 5 years prison sentence minimum in a juvenile facility. It then turns out they get let off early, are given new identities and are sent to Australia for a life of luxery to get this, protect -their- rights.
Jee wiz I do love me some common sense in England!

It still is. Only difference now is Australia tries to throw them into neighbouring Indonesia; but they've not succeeded so far.

I have no comment on Hadi (can't even spell it). Though I do like the IDEA of voodoo. Scams? Thier There.
Toby Mcguire? Really? Who the heck would he play? I'm oddly disturbed by that news.
I started a Twitter a couple days ago. I plan on never going back. Sorry, to say but, I wouldn't be suprised if Bill Gates DID buy Twitter, and take it down from the inside himself. Yeah, he already has Tom from Myspace hidden in one of his get-a-ways.....(>_> not really but it was fun to think about....)
About little kids beating little kids that's fucked but blame the parents not television. I miss the OLD Scooby Doo or Ren and Stimpy. Orlando Bloom is freaking smokin'. He's going to have my babies.
Where did you hear about Australia and Indonesia?
In conclusion, I think, that the human population is coming to an end. Human race has screwed up bad all over...

Well, I'd say Google has a higher probability of buying out Twitter than Bill Gates. As a matter of fact, I feel Google's going to be the next Microsoft in terms of market dominance. After all, they're already planning to release an open-source OS.

Frankly, I don't give two shits about Haiti, so I say throw money at 'em, and leave it at that. It'll shut 'em up, won't it?
Also, Matthias, all this America is running out of money is one big load of bullshit. This whole "the value of the dollar" nonsense just keeps pissing me off to high hell for a variety of reasons, such as: the value of the dollar is determined by personal value, i.e. supply and demand, and unfortunately, there will forever be a set number of supply for virtually everything, no matter how much you try to cycle, renew, restore, etc, as long as there's that little prefix attached, and people are going to use that as a way of measuring their power.
There's 10 pebbles:
Person A) has 6 pebbles
Person B) has 4 pebbles
Person A) is the superior, because apparently, a having more pebbles than one person makes you better than they are. It's all about power and security, and as we all know that without power, there can be no security. If things didn't have a value to them, people wouldn't be fighting simply because there'd no longer be a way to elevate themselves.
And now, you have a paradox.

... <_<' Well. I shall add my two scents in..
Haiti: Personally speaking, Haiti was a shit-hole before the earthquake hit. Everyone ignored them, some people didn't even know they fucking existed other than a place where they do 'voodoo'. So what happens now? Tragedy hits, America flies off to the rescue and BOOM, publicity everywhere. Everything for a short time was 'Which celebrity gave the most money?!' 'Which celebrity went to Haiti?' and things of the sort. Soon it went down to the fact that the ones who gave the most amount of money, were given more air time on the news. Honestly, publicity-fucking-stunts. Dx
English News: .. I so wanna move to England now and beat someone up. o_O' Australian women are hot! <.<' Nah I'm not that shallow, but really. Fucked up there... they should rot in jail for taking away someones chance to live!.
Twitter: Yeah.. made one, hate it. Really, what's the point of having a social networking page that the only thing you can really do on is post up a note about when you're taking a dumb or eating? >_>? Yes, I have seen it done. My money's on Bill Gates buying it JUST because I haven't heard about the guy buying anything huge in a while. Course, I rarely read the news since I don't really care about today's events and prefer to live in my own little world, dealing with my own little problems. D=
So! There you go. My two... well hardly two cents now is there? More like Two dollars I'd say... Regardless! Have at it.

I whole-heartedly agree. Honestly, I had no idea that place even existed until the catastrophe struck, and then I hear that it's been a living hell for them even before the catastrophe.
