Webster "Web"

(Played by papolatte)

Description: Age: 19
Height: 193 cm (6 feet 4 inches)
Weight: 70.3 kg (155 pounds)

Webster is a young man, only just reaching 19 years of age. He is lanky and tall, standing a good head over most men he meets. He has bright blue eyes and a chocolate colored, but light, brown hair, which stands out starkly against his fair and pasty skin. Webster can be almost completely perceived as just a normal, albeit slightly tall, young man, if it weren't for one very obvious disfigurement. He has no left arm. In place of it, is a fully functional metallic prosthesis, which besides being slightly bulky and robotic looking, functions as a normal arm. Underneath his left eye is a small but deep scar, colored red, as if it was fresh or tender, though it has long since healed up.

His clothing consists of plain brown breeches, tucked into knee high boots. He wears an elbow length leather glove on his right hand, which goes over the sleeve of his long sleeved white shirt. The sleeve that would cover his left arm, is rolled up to the shoulder, to avoid interfering with his prosthetic arm. He has a blue jacket vest which he wears over top. He has numerous belts and buckles which seemingly contain artisan's tools. On the top of his head is a pair of goggles, dirty and covered in soot, a bit smudged as if the extent of their cleanliness falls down to being wiped on a shirt. He has an extra large wrench, which he uses for work, that hangs at his hip. He has a spare set of clothing which is simply a gray jumpsuit with pockets, used when he is working.

Equipment:
Clothing
Artisan Tools (Used for inventing and working on technology. Also includes tools for disabling devices.)
Giant Wrench (For heavy duty work, also is Webster's weapon. Has sockets on it for additional work.)
Goggles (One of Web's first inventions. Allows him to see in the dark.)
Pocket Watch (Rigged to record and playback audio. Also functions to tell what time of the day it is.)

Prosthetic Arm: His arm, is much more powerful than his body is, and when used recklessly throws him easily off balance. It is detachable and cannot be used in water. It is slightly water resistant, but if completely submerged, it would malfunction. His arm can also be modified, for other uses, but primarily, it is used as a simple replacement for a human arm and hand.

Arm Modifications: (Currently)
Human Arm
Drill

Personality: Webster tends to come off arrogant and a bit uncaring to most people he meets, but deep down inside... he is still arrogant, though a bit more understanding of other's problems, whether or not he shows it. Growing up, he had no one besides himself, so he is very self reliant, and doesn't normally expect the help of others. He has a habit of bragging about his achievement, and easily becomes sullen when others outclass him. A bit brash and reckless, he tends to act before he thinks, usually resulting in some sort of self brought problem. Acting as a foil to most bubbly and fun characters, Webster can rain on almost any parade. A smile from him is rare, even when he is delighted and happy. He has very little sympathy for people who are arrogant, excluding his own hypocritical self, and can often find himself standing up for those who really need it. When he does this, he still comes off as a bit of a jerk. Because of this obviously stunted emotional growth, he is even more exposed to being hurt, it just isn't likely to show.

History: Webster's past is as known to him as is the inner workings of the world. The fact is, he has no clue. He doesn't know his parents, his home, what life he lived, or how he ended up with his scars and disfigurements. He grew up on the streets, stealing food to avoid starvation. Hiding in stables to not freeze. Begging on the corner for any scraps of change or clothing people could spare. He never stayed in one place long enough to get attached to anyone. People took little time to waste sympathy on a one armed cripple who would not survive the year. But survive he did. Year after year. From the tender age of 8, which is as far back as he can remember, until he turned 16.

It was at that time, that he had the luxurious chance of meeting Miguel and Frank. What turned out to be a series of failed attempts to make off with the biggest haul of his life, when stealing from the Tech Cor guild hall, Web was brought before Miguel. Despite his attempt to steal from the common wealth of the guild, Miguel happened to take sympathy on Webster, and for the first time in his life, someone decided to actually help him.

Tradesmen in the Tech Cor, taught Webster the trade of engineering and inventing. Of fixing and breaking things down. He learned and studied and worked hard. Miguel never crossed the line that Webster had drawn around himself, never tried to offer the family that Webster needed, because that was not what he wanted, but he was there to help with what was needed. Webster maintained a cautious friendship with his guild mates, Miguel, and Miguel's daughter Frank.

Years later, still working for Tech Cor, Webster is only beginning to take the first steps into the life that will belong to the man he wishes to be.
