Description:

Name: Leonard Garcia
Age: 23
Profession: DC Firefighter
Appearance: Leonard is a beast. That doesn’t even begin to describe it. He’s 6’ 6” and weighs over 300 pounds. His body is comprised of muscles on top of muscles and almost everything he wears is incredibly tight. His complexion is a golden brown, and his eyes are so dark they’re almost black.
Family Remaining: None, California was hit the hardest, and he has lost hope that his family survived. All he has left is Aimee
Equipment: Leonard carries a fireman’s axe as his main melee weapon. Strapped around his shoulders on a sling he’s also got an AK-47 with a folding stock. He also has a specially designed leg holster that carries a sawed-off 10 gauge double-barrel shotgun. He wears a tactical vest he picked up with 5 extra AK magazines in it.
Skills/Training: In addition to the firefighting skills he’s gone to school for, he’s also a licensed paramedic. When he was a civilian he trained as a cage fighter, though he only ever fought in small, local shows, never anything big.
Personality: Leonard was always a cocky guy. The kind of guy women just didn't say "No" to. The steroids and the fighting made it worse, made him headstrong and more prone to angry outbursts. He's very hot-headed and very proud. He's stubborn, and hates to back down. He only works well with others when he's in charge.
History: Leonard played football all through High School, but unfortunately, didn't have what it took to get a free ride to college. He graduated High School at the age of 19, and immediately enrolled into tech school to become a firefighter. He graduated when he was 21 and was offered a job as a firefighter at graduation.
While in tech school, he started training in MMA, which is when he started using steroids. He continued doing MMA after school, though it was nothing big, just local shows. He met Aimee and wanted to see her. She was currently in that "rebelling against my parents" stage and she knew they'd hate him, so she started dating him, though that was really the subconscious reason. She didn't understand exactly why she was attracted to him at the time.
He wasn't physically abusive, but he would get angry and scream and sometimes break things, but he never actually laid a hand on her. Not til the break-up and he followed her to DC. He told her that he hated that she left, but he was willing to sacrifice and come out to DC with her. She, however, was done with him and had already moved on and didn't want to get back together. That's when he hit her, and he was so enraged he just got carried away. After he was arrested, he was released on parole after a few months and joined a firestation in DC. He vowed he'd try to get her back, but the restraining order she had prevented him from being able to make any contact at all without going back to jail.
When the outbreak hit, no one thought it would get as bad as it did. When everything in DC finally collapsed, Leonard went looking for her and found she'd gone to Chicago, so he packed up what he thought he'd need for the trip and took off looking for her.
