Description:
Name: Staff Sergeant Austin Griffin
Age: 25
Profession: Former Illinois National Guard Special Operator
Appearance:
Austin is relatively unremarkable looking, except for maybe that he’s a Ginger. He’s six-foot tall, and weighs about 215 pounds. He’s not incredibly huge, but he definitely looks strong and athletic. He's taken great care to develop a body to be proud of. Being a Ginger, his skin is pale; not albino-pale, but pretty pale nonetheless. With that, his hair is also a reddish shade of blonde, though it’s often hard to tell since he tries to keep it shaved so close to his head. Since the outbreak, he's taken to not shaving too often, so he usually has red facial hair on his jawline.
Personality:
Austin is an open, friendly person. However, he's very prone to making quick, efficient decisions when the time calls for it, no matter how insensitive or brutal it may seem. Since the outbreak he's become a significantly more cynical and negative person.
History:
Austin has been in the military since he was 19, moving to Illinois several years ago to transfer to the Special Forces unit there. He's been with them since he was 22. When the outbreak hit, after realizing what was going on, his unit actually ignored their orders to assist with the crisis. Instead, everyone met at the armory to arm and outfit themselves before going their separate ways.
Family Remaining: Any living family still alive is in Iowa. He hasn't gotten any confirmation on anyone being alive or dead.
Equipment:
Austin uses a Jeep Grand Cherokee to get around with a push-bar in the front that allows him to use it to push other vehicles out of the way when necessary. He keeps several gas canisters in the back along with most of his other gear.
After grabbing what he needed from his unit’s armory, Jason is outfitted with a wide variety of firearms and tactical equipment as well as survival gear.
Always with him is his main zombie melee weapon, a 24-inch wrecking bar, and his sidearm, a SOCOM Mk. 23 pistol, carried in a drop-leg holster at his right thigh with two extra magazines and a silencer.
Training:
Obviously, being a Green Beret, Austin has undergone some of the most intense physical and mental training in the world. He's very skilled in a wide field including survival, communications, marksmanship, tactical maneuvering, hand to hand combat, combat tactics, and emergency field medicine. His body is in peak physical condition.
